The Rajasthan Administrative Service examination requires sustained intellectual stamina. It is a multi-tiered evaluation designed to test analytical depth, localized state knowledge, and decision-making under pressure.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university. The minimum age requirement is 21. General category candidates face a maximum age limit of 40 years. Crucially, unlike the UPSC, the RPSC does not limit the number of attempts a candidate can make within their age bracket.
Prelims consists of a single objective paper (General Knowledge and General Science) carrying 200 marks for 150 questions. It serves strictly as a screening mechanism; marks obtained in Prelims are not aggregated into the final merit ranking.
